About the Role
We are searching for a reliable welder to join our team of skilled professionals in our CWB / TSSA certified fabrication shop. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring and assembling metal pieces, using cutting tools, drilling, and monitoring inventory. Knowledge of FCAW, MCAW, GMAW, TIG, and SMAW is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Select, measure, cut, and join metals to specification
- Read imperial/metric measurements and interpret blueprints
- Prepare work surfaces; maintain a clean & safe area
- Clean/inspect welding equipment; support apprentice training
- Follow all health & safety regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 456A welding ticket is an asset
- Strong physical stamina, dexterity, and attention to detail
- Understanding of welding safety and CWB 47.1 compliance
- Reliable transportation; ability to work overtime when required
